From Dreamer to Digital Strategist:
How Copy Fox Marketing Was Born
My love for writing began when I was 8, with a diary gifted by my aunt. By 10, I was running my own newspaper, The SunDance News, and by 12, attending a young author’s conference. Writing has always been my passion, but I once believed the only path to success was through a best-selling novel.
After earning a degree in Communications at Concordia University, I took various jobs, including bartending, waitressing, and even a brief stint at a 9-to-5. But the corporate life wasn’t for me. In 2015, I moved to Thailand to teach English, where I discovered Upwork. That first $10 gig writing a blog post changed everything.
Over time, I transitioned from $8-an-hour gigs to landing a steady role at a digital marketing agency, earning a full-time salary while working remotely. By 2018, I’d doubled my income, bought a condo, and created a lifestyle I once thought impossible.
